Hark! Esteemed ladies and gentlepersons, we humbly extend our invitation to the VIP meet and greet, where you shall be graced with the presence of other VIPs, as well as special guests from our programming and performances. Our event is a celebration of the finest in Steampunk culture, a tribute to the 19th century British era of innovation and progress… or at least, it’s a really, really good chance to drink tea, nibble snacks, and exchange gossip…er, we mean, meet fascinating new people!
We asked our Automated Writing Clank to write the next bit. It said, “Our VIP meet and greet is a unique opportunity to experience the Steampunk lifestyle in all its glory. You shall be transported back in time to an era of steam-powered machinery, Victorian fashion, and daring adventure.”
…our Automated Writing Clank is clearly trying to murder us. That’s a tall order.
But this IS a great meet and greet. It’s been one of our most beloved pieces of programming for a good twenty years now, and we try to do it differently every time.
