The Wicked World’s Fair cast is delighted to engage you in a number of perfectly innocent improv games, and absolutely no-one is probably going to be consumed by Triffids. We promise. Probably.
- Gadget Show and Tell
- Each player invents a fantastical steampunk gadget with a unique function.
- Players take turns presenting their gadget to the group, explaining its purpose and demonstrating how it works in a dramatic fashion.
- Airship Piracy
- Players are airship pirates attempting to board a ship full of…airship pirates.
- Players take turns insisting that THEY’RE the real pirate and should be taking over the ship. Give details!
- Airship Adventures
- Players are crew members aboard a steampunk airship.
- The game master calls out different scenarios such as airship battles, discovering new lands, or dealing with a mechanical failure, and players must improvise the scene.
- Victorian Secrets
- Players assume the roles of Victorian-era characters with a steampunk twist.
- Each character has a secret related to the steampunk world (e.g., inventor of a forbidden machine, a spy for a rival faction, etc.), and through the improv, they must try to uncover each other’s secrets.
- The Great Exhibition
- Set in the backdrop of a World’s Fair-like exhibition, players must improvise scenes showcasing their latest steampunk inventions to the public and potential investors, dealing with mishaps and rival inventors along the way.
Remember, the key to improv is saying “yes, and…” to build on each other’s ideas.. Have fun with these steampunk scenarios!
